Container Design Guide
There are 4 fundamental components for standard box containers.
Container Frame
- Steel framework
- 4 corner posts
- 2 bottom side rails
- 2 top side rails
- 2 bottom cross members
- 1 front top end rail
- 1 door header
Bottom Cross Members
- serve as supports for the floor
Side and End Walls
- bear the least lead
- 12-16 gauge steel
Roof Panel
- prevent water pooling on top
- support several hundred pounds
- serve as supports for the floor
